REESCH

Domaine du Schlassgoard, Esch-sur-Alzette - Site Arcelor Mittal Schifflange​

A main artistic outdoor performance, that represents a fascinating journey into Esch, into its history and culture, inspired by the traditions and strengths of the Region, as an example of evolution, innovation, perseverance and fortitude.

🇱🇺Suitable for all audiences, and specially created for the “Nuit de la Culture” as part of the celebrations of Esch´s year as European Capital of Culture 2022, with 37 artists on stage.

📍This 50-minute performance will take place on September 2nd and 3rd 2022, 21.30pm, at Domaine du Schlassgoard -Site Arcelor Mittal iSchifflange- Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg.

💡The General Direction of the show will be under the guidance of renowned Australian Writer and Director Sean McKeown, with more than 30 years worldwide career experience including 20 years as Artistic Director and Director of Creation for the World Famous Cirque du Soleil.

🔗During the two years of pre-production process, the compromise with the community has been a very important:

+ 👲Most of the PROPS and accessories have been designed and produced by the students of the Ecole d´art de Luxembourg,

+ 💃REESCH will include 20 promising local dancers, specially selected for this event,

+ 🔆There will be professionals, volunteers and assistants from the region

🌎The word “REESCH” is an invented term, which mix the Luxembourgish word “Rees”, as a “trip”, and the short name of the city “Esch”. Together, they mean “a journey into Esch”, which is directly connected with the message of the SHOW. To bring an experience of an imaginary and immersive trip that elevates the spirit of the audience and the collective conscience, full of emotions and artistic skill, with inspiring messages and moments of joy and light.

🌜 Pour ouvrir cette dernière Nuit de la Culture, découvrez le projet REESCH sur le site industriel de Schifflange, dirigée par Sean McKeown, directeur artistique du Cirque du Soleil. Une performance de 50 minutes, avec des artistes du monde entier ainsi que des danseurs locaux.

✨ Le mot « REESCH » est un terme inventé, qui mélange le mot luxembourgeois « Rees », comme un « voyage », et le nom court de la ville « Esch ». Ensemble, ils signifient « un voyage à Esch », ce qui est directement lié au message du show ! Apporter une expérience d’un voyage imaginaire et immersif.

🤸‍♀ REESCH comprendra plus d'une trentaine d'artistes sur scène, regroupant d'extraordinaires acrobates avec des carrières internationales, ainsi que des danseurs locaux prometteurs spécialement sélectionnés pour cet événement, qui ont répété et été formés tout au long de cette année.
