Sean Mc Keown

Sean Mc Keown is an extraordinary and well known actor, writer and director, with a worldwide career of more than 30 years.Born in Australia, he studied Drama at the University of Newcastle, developing his first steps in a variety of artistic roles including acting and tap dancing, continuing later working for an Australian Cable TV for some years. Since then Sean has primarily worked with Cirque du Soleil Worldwide, being one of  the main Artistic Director since 2007. His incredible and successful shows with this company include: “ALEGRIA”, “QUIDAM”, “DRALION”, “The Beatles. LOVE” Las Vegas, “SEPTIMO DIA”, and the most recently one “MESSI10”. During this time, he also directed hundreds of other performances and special events, touring to more than 40 countries and presenting shows in over 190 cities around the globe.

 In 2014 he created and directed the hit show “SIGNUM”, at the theatre “El Nacional”, to rave reviews, broughting the contemporary circus to the mainstream entertainment district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sean served also as a Director of Creation, recently for Cirque du Soleil in the last show Messi10, Directed by Mukhtar Omar Sharif Mukhtar, and for Cirque Eloize’s production “Monaco” in 2015, under the guidance of Jeannot Painchaud, alongside Director Krista Monson.
